Over here at Sausage Tails we have a very special announcement to make! Some of you already know the good news however I have not been able to blog about it due to my Nanny being very indecisive!! My Nanny & Grandad collected a new addition to our family a couple of weeks ago, a wire-haired dachshund!!!!! Like me but bigger, he’s a standard!
As I mentioned, Nanny was sitting on the fence (with Eric the cat), she just could not decide on a name for the little wirey chap so he was know as ‘puppy’ for the first week he was here. Women are so indecisive!! So after a lot of deliberation, she finally settled on a name for him, everyone meet Rodney!
Cute isn’t he? He’s already fitting well into mine and The H’s little pack, he’s learnt to play. Check out Rodney’s little legs at the back…
(yes the soft crate was being used a substitute for a cage fighting ring, much to Mum’s disapproval)
We all took Rodney for his first walk today, he enjoyed sniffing out the badgers with me, chewing on sticks and generally causing havoc. He’s learning from the best! The only problem is, when Nanny call’s us back and we get rewarded, he’s not quite got the gist of ‘puppy dog’s last’!!
That’s better!
He’s also learnt that after all that playing and walking, we also like to chill out here…
I’ve even got him on modelling training, I told him that if he wants to make a regular appearance on Sausage Tails then he’ll have to learn my Blue Steel sultry pose, first class was Valentines Day, I’m sure he’ll get the hang of it…
Everyone here is so pleased at the arrival of the little lad (not that he’ll stay little for long) and I can’t wait to bring you updates on his progress, especially as he outgrow’s me…
